A flower lover or not, you will surely be amazed by the gigantic Flower Carpet in Brussels. The huge and colorful piece of carpet is placed in front of the City Hall, on the main square, and the makers are hundreds of experienced and enthusiastic gardeners. It was opened public on August 13th, and was closed on the 15th. 700,000 beautiful flowers were used to create the Flower Carpet, and it looks amazing, especially from above. It cost 3 Euros to get an above-look from one of the buildings around the City Hall.
From there you could have a beautiful panoramic view. A lot of work was put into this project, and it was worth it, because the result was incredible. The work consists of several stages and the planning starts a year in advance. This year the colors varied from pink and red to yellow and the type of flowers are begonias. Wonder what colors they will use next year
